Zachary Owen Robertson

Zachary Robertson, 44, of Taylor, TX passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020.

Zachary, known to most as Zack, was born March 22, 1976 to Roger Robertson and Karla Yates.  He grew up with two older sisters.  He graduated from Sherman High School in 1994 where he went on to work in the automotive industry painting cars and motorcycles.  In 2000, he moved to Taylor, TX and married Felicia Chumbley.  He worked at Fix-A-Wreck for over a decade painting cars and learning the management side of the body shop business.  In 2018, he went to work for AMM Collision as an estimator and manager.  He never hesitated to stop and show someone how to get the job done correctly.  He believed that success was accomplished through hard work, showing up on time, and doing your best every day.

Zack always had a smile, and would go out of his way to help those that needed it.  He didn’t know a stranger and was a friend to many people.  Zack loved spending his weekends hanging out in the backyard, barbequing, watching football or car racing, and spending time with his family and friends.   If you needed anything, all you had to do was call him and he would be there. Of all the things he accomplished in life, he was the proudest of his two children, Xavier and Clarissa, also known as CJ.  His kind heart, determination, and work ethic live on through them.

Zack is survived by his wife, Felicia, children, Xavier and Clarissa, and his dog, Oliver; grandfather, Owen Robertson of Amarillo; father, Roger Robertson (Christina) of Pottsboro; mother, Karla Yates (Dean) of Sherman; sisters, Melinda Fritcher (Tracy) and Jennifer Robertson; step-brother, Logan Smith and step-sister, Rhiannon Foltermann; and several nieces and nephews.

A private service will be held honoring Zack’s memory.

Everyone that knows Zack is asked to celebrate him by raising a glass of their favorite drink in his memory.
