Vera was born January 6, 1932, in Rockdale, Texas, to Tom and Dora (Seelke) Jones. Myrl was a homemaker her entire life. She loved gardening vegetables and flowers and raising chickens and cows. She loved the farm life so much she brought her chickens to her new neighborhood in Katy, Texas in 2003. Myrl loved bingo, but if she won, she would have her daughter yell bingo for her. Family and friends always looked forward to her cookies, fudge, pies and other baked goods. She traveled to Las Vegas with her daughter, sister, and granddaughter celebrating Mryl’s 50th wedding anniversary. She also took her first trip to Disney World at the age of 83 with her daughter. During the day, Myrl would sit outside with her son and his dog (Sarah) and people watch. She also loved NASCAR but didn’t like Kyle Busch. Myrl loved NASCAR so much that she took a tour of the track in Daytona and stood at the finish line. She will truly be missed by many.
