Tyler Dennis Cobb

January 14, 2005 — May 16, 2020

Tyler Dennis Cobb of Taylor, Texas left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 16 , 2020. He was 15 years old and the absolute light of his parents’ life.

Tyler was born, along with his twin brother Conner, on January 14, 2005 in Round Rock, Texas. It did not take long for his parents to realize that this was no ordinary child. He was high maintenance from the start and loaded with energy.  His parents often joked that the reason they ended up with twins was due to a previous miscarriage. They claimed that he was the one they lost, but God gave him right back to them because they were just not ready for a kiddo like him in Heaven!

Tyler was his own unique person. He never followed the norm or did what everyone else did. He was a wonderful student and never got in trouble, but he just wanted to do things his own way, and he really didn’t care what everyone else thought. He might show up to school one day in a bow tie and suspenders with rainbow socks and the next in a purple Thrasher hoodie and mismatched shorts. That was just him, and everyone accepted him for who he was no matter what.  Bright colors and crazy socks with Vans were his thing.  He inspired others to step out of the box and be who they wanted to be without fear of judgement.  “Normal” was whatever Tyler made of it.

Tyler was the most amazing friend to everyone. He was kind to every person he met and always went out of his way to make sure that the new kid in school felt welcomed and accepted. If he saw someone sitting alone in the lunchroom, he would immediately go to them and invite them to join his table.  That was just the kind of kid he was. He loved running, soccer, basketball, skateboarding, photography, music and hanging out with his friends, which was a very large number. Whether he was the star of play or mastering new tricks in his driveway, Tyler always worked hard at everything he did. He possessed the most humble and loving heart and was just a really neat kid. He loved God, his church, and being a Taylor Duck.

Tyler is survived by his parents, Brian and Shelli Cobb; brothers, Clayton and Conner Cobb of Taylor; great grandmother, Lora Mae Cobb of Newton; grandparents, Dennis and Pam Cobb of Friendswood and Lynn and Deanna Austin of Fritch; uncles, Clint (Erin) Cobb and their children Jack and Cade of Houston and Aaron (Jennifer) Cobb and their children Emma, Parker, and Mason of League City; aunt, Misty Lechner of Lorena; and numerous cousins and great aunts.
