Tommy Scott

Tommy Scott, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25 ^th , 2022, at Falcon Ridge in Hutto.

He was born March 24, 1948, in San Angelo, TX to William Lee and Dorothy Joyce Scott. He was a 1969 graduate of San Angelo Central High School and in 1970 he graduated from Vocational Nursing school in San Angelo.

After starting his career as a nurse, he later transitioned into working as a flooring installer. In the mid 1980’s a job opportunity at Aladdin Carpet brought the family from San Angelo to Taylor. He was very proud of his flooring work around Taylor, which included many homes, schools, businesses, and churches.

He was best known for his strong work ethic and friendly personality. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking BBQ and having a beer with friends.

In his later years he was a proud member of Memorial Baptist Church where he loved volunteering and taking part in social gatherings. He also looked forward to meeting with friends at Whataburger for coffee in the mornings.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Dorothy Scott; brothers, Bill Scott, and John L. Scott.

He is survived by his kids, John, Prescia, Bryan, Alyx; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 2 ^nd , from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd. NW, Taylor.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 3 ^rd at 2:00 pm at Memorial Baptist Church 340 W. Lake Dr., Taylor.

He will be laid to rest at the Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor, Texas.
