Thomas Sheppard, Iii

Thomas Merchant Sheppard, III, known by friends and family as “Trey”, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home in Taylor, TX at the age of 29.

Trey was born August 6, 1991 in Round Rock, TX. He graduated from Hutto High School in 2009, but always called Taylor his home. He was employed at Floyd’s Glass and loved his job and coworkers.

He was a family-oriented man who loved playing cards, fishing with his boys, watching the Houston Texans games, and cooking home cooked meals for his friends and family. He was also altruistic, and big hearted. Trey had a lot of love to give and while he may have looked tough on the outside, on the inside he held a big warm heart.

Trey was a loving and attentive father.  His greatest accomplishments were his children and he beamed with pride when talking about them.   He loved spending time outdoors with his children, teaching them how to fish, and how to ride a bike. He will be greatly missed.

Trey was preceded in death by his Dad, Tim Sheppard and paternal grandparents, Thomas and Betty Sheppard. While our heart aches, we find comfort in knowing that father and son are reunited in Eternity.

Trey is survived by his loving children Grayson Thomas and Jaxon Alexander, his mom Mary (Lulu) Sheppard of Taylor, TX, sister Erica Sheppard of Corpus Christi, TX, and his maternal grandparents, Raymond & Stella Ruiz of Taylor, TX.  He is also survived by numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends he called family.

On Friday, February 26, there will be a final viewing from 9:00-9:30 AM, before the committal service at 10:00 AM.
