Temple Mccormick Masters

May 21, 1971 — August 24, 2021

Temple McCormick Masters, 50, passed away August 24, 2021. She was born May 21, 1971, in Killeen, Texas to Lamar and Jimmie Nell Nicholas McCormick. Temple married her longtime friend and love of her life, Clinton Royce Masters on October 10, 2009. Clint, sadly, preceded her in death on August 23, 2021.

Temple loved to love people.  She was a dedicated mother and treasured her children and embraced every moment with them.  She had a vivacious personality and always made people laugh and feel good.  She made friends everywhere she went and never knew a stranger.  She also loved the Lord more than anything and never hesitated to share her faith with others.

Temple was raised in Taylor, Texas and graduated from Taylor High School in 1989.  She worked as a hairdresser for many years and also worked in direct sales.  Her passion was making people feel good about themselves.  Temple worked diligently at the sales of her Paparazzi jewelry.  Most recently she was awarded the “Life of the Party - Gold Sales” award at the annual Paparazzi Gala.  There could not be an award more deserving.  If you ever saw one of her many sales videos, you would agree, she truly was the life of the party.

Temple was preceded in death by her husband, Clint Masters; her mother, Jimmie Nell McCormick; her grandparents, Charles and Georgia McCormick and John and Edna Nicholas.

Temple is survived by her sons, Michael Joe Ivey, Gaven Ivey, and Jordan Masters, and her daughter, Madison Masters; her father and stepmother, Lamar and Karen McCormick; a sister and her husband, Jonna and Brent Evans; a brother and his wife, Cove and Casi McCormick; nephews, Collin Evans, Watson Evans; and nieces, Jimmie Evans, Julia Evans, Gracie McCormick, and Addie McCormick.

Pallbearers attending Temple will be Brent Evans, Collin Evans, Watson Evans, Cove McCormick, Tim Melching, and Matt Melching.

Funeral services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 3 from 6:00-8:00PM. The service will be held Saturday, September 4 at 10:00AM and livestreamed via Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/taylorprovidence, with burial to follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Temple’s family encourages friends and loved ones to make a donation in her and Clint’s memory to Shepherd’s Heart of Taylor.

Due to COVID restrictions, attendees of the funeral will be required to wear masks at all times, and sanitize their hands upon entering the funeral home.
