Susan Kudla Tone

Susan Kudla Tone (Suzi) passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, January 9, 2018, at her home in Granger, Texas. She was 60.

Suzi was born on February 1, 1957, in Baytown, Texas to Carolyn and Roland Kudla. She was the youngest of three daughters. Her young life was blessed by loving parents and a Christian upbringing. She was always thankful that she survived the daily harassment from her two older sisters.

Suzi graduated from Ross S. Sterling High School in Baytown, Texas and later graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor University in Belton, Texas, with a degree in Physical Education. She worked many years for various State Farm Insurance Agents, Ron Craft Chevrolet, First Christian Church of Baytown, and Leander Independent School District. Suzi loved watching sports, gardening, watching movies and spending time with her family. She was quick-witted, and her laughter could fill a room. Always eager to help others and, like her late father, she possessed an undying love for animals.

Suzi was preceded in death by her parents, Roland P. Kudla (2013) and Carolyn Beth Brewster Kudla (2017). She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of more than 25 years, Charles (Chuck) Tone, son Collin (Kristen) Mills and grandson Cooper Mills and sisters Beth (Phil) Elam and Kay Quinton. She is also survived by nieces Kara (Tyler) Johnston and Katy Quinton and nephew Grant (Jennifer) Elam. Suzi cherished her two great nephews Liam Johnston and Brooks Elam. Her life was also blessed by loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Suzi’s life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 11:00 AM at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, TX.
