Susan Martinez

Susan Yannis Martinez, 76, of Taylor passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022.

Susan Yannis Martinez was born June 20 ^, 1945 to Santos Yannis and Jovita Flores. She grew up with three sisters and one brother.

She married George Martinez on August 12, 1961. Susan worked with Walmart for many years.

Susan was fun, loving, and the kind of person who could always make you laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and family. Her famous saying was “She still kicking, but not high.” She left her mark on everyone she met.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her son Danny Martinez.

Susan is survived by her beloved husband George of 61 years; children, Linda Martinez, Edward Martinez, Denise Rodriguez, Abby Martinez, Kari Martinez and Sophie Martinez. Susan also had numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Providence Funeral Home. Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
