Stanley John Zamorsky, 62, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 25, 2018. He was born January 6, 1956 in Taylor, Texas to Joseph Raymond and Albina Frances (Gorubec) Zamorsky.
“Stan the Man” never met a stranger. He was known for his sense of humor and larger than life personality. He loved his Family, sports (especially hardball) and documenting everything he did with pictures. Stanley also loved his church and church family. He was very involved with the youth group and spent many summers as a camp counselor. On any given Friday night, you could find him at a local high school football game or at the SPJST hall dancing and laughing the night away. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Joe Zamorsky and niece, Jessica Gilchrist.
He is survived by his son Cody and wife Missi McCawley of Kenosha, Wisconsin, son Stan and wife Rebecca Briggs of Belton, daughter Heather and husband Bradley Gatewood of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, son Clint and wife Dana Briggs of Round Rock, son Terry Briggs of Thorndale, daughter Callie and husband Matt Case of Montgomery and son Ian Zamorsky of Hutto. Grandchildren, Monet McCawley, Micah and Addison Briggs, Madelyn and Katelyn Gatewood, Avery, Ellie and Brayson Briggs, Christian, Caleb, Mckynzie and Abbey Briggs and Caroline Case. Sister, Karen and husband Trey Gilchrist of Thorndale and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Providence Funeral Home. Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Taylor Brethren Church. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Taylor Brethren Church.
