Sheila Marie Finn
Sheila Marie Finn, 60, passed away peacefully, at home, surrounded by family and friends on January 25th, 2023.
Sheila was born on October 7th, 1962, in Taylor, Texas to Gene and Victoria (Zett) Finn. She attended elementary school in Taylor, Texas and high school in Granger, Texas where she graduated in 1981. After high school Sheila worked at Bluebonnet Nursing Center in Granger, Texas as a nurse’s aide. In the summer of 1984, she traveled to California where she did home installations of satellite dishes. Upon returning home in the fall of 1984, she found her place at Ultra Electronics (Weed Instrument) where she would work for 35 years. There she worked as a Technician II in the Aerospace Nuclear Department. Her last project she worked on was probes for Blue Origin.
Sheila found her partner in life when she met Peg Hines. For the last 18 years they would live a full life together and spoil their beloved dogs Pepper and Cooper.
Sheila enjoyed being outdoors. Whether that be at their home away from home on Carancahua Bay, out on Granger Lake, in a deer stand, or visiting the farm. She loved to cook for family and friends! Her specialties were salsa, BBQ, and sweets.
Friends, to Sheila, were like family. Sheila will be dearly missed by so many.
Sheila is preceded in death by her mother Victoria Finn, great-nieces Faith Paau and Thalia Bernal; great-nephew Adonijah Paau. She is survived by her wife, Peg Hines; Father Gene Finn, Brothers Dwayne “Barney” (Sue) Finn, Wade (Cara) Finn; sisters Pamela (Phillip) Wagner, Vanessa (Michael) Gorubec; nieces Christy Michalik, Kimberly (Dave) Briggs, Erica Wagner, Kari (Hondo) Gonzalez, Julia Elizondo, Aubrie Gorubec , Crystal Fowler; nephews Scott (Alicia) Fowler, Jason Finn, Hayden Wagner, Aaron and Garrett Finn; great-nieces and nephews Sofia and Sabian Bernal, Ivory, Greyson and Noah Gonzalez, Henry and Lillian Briggs, Ella, Tom and Will Fowler, Trennon and Lane Paau.
Visitation will be at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas on Friday, February 3rd at 5-7pm. Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Funeral services will be at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Chuch on Saturday, February 4th at 10am. Burial will be at the Taylor City Cemetery.
Serving as Pallbearers are Jason Finn, Aaron Finn, Hayden Wagner, Sabian Bernal, Clay and Colton Mazoch, and Cesar Castillo. Honorary Pallbearers are Sandra and Margie Geisler, Bobby and Susie Strmiska, Larry and Debbie Mazoch, Victorine Bereman-Bellard, BJ Daugherty, Melvin Marek, Wayne and Greg Michalik, Bobby Hernandez and John Labaj.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family of Eric Strmiska. The family wishes to thank everyone for the prayers, calls, and visits for Sheila in the last months.
