Sharon Davis, 65, of Taylor, went to her Heavenly home on December 6, 2021.
She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 1, 1956, to Leo Ozell Williams and Essie Mae (Myles) Williams.
She attended school at both the University of New Orleans, and worked as a pharmacy technician at Charity Hospital in New Orleans.
Sharon was of the Baptist faith and was a member of The First Baptist Church of Taylor. She also loved to read, and was a poet and writer.
She was preceded in death by Essie Mae Williams, Leo Ozell Williams, Andrew Stevenson, and Edward Williams.
Sharon leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Alton Rene Davis, Sr. of Taylor; a son, Alton Rene Davis, Jr. of Taylor; a daughter, Alita Patrice Davis of Austin; three granddaughters, Damaria Danae Shezbie, Renaya Sharon Davis, and Altoneya Naomi Davis of Taylor; and four siblings, Doris Williams Smith of Ruston, LA, Leo Williams, Jr. of Taylor, Dianne Williams Hayes of Columbia, MD, and Donald Williams of Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Providence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at The First Baptist Church of Taylor (located at 300 N. Robinson Street). Following the service, she will be laid to rest at the Taylor City Cemetery in Taylor, Texas.
Serving as Pallbearers are Alton R. Davis, Jr., Dedrick Williams , Antoine Davis, Thomas A. Robinson, Hugh Shelton, Sr., and Anthony Watson, Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers are Rafael Rodriguez, Jr. and Brent Q. Smith, Jr.
