Albert Harry Zeplin

Albert Harry Zeplin, 99, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Albert was born on September 3, 1921 in Taylor, Texas to Gus and Ella Wuthrich Zeplin. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1939. After graduation, he served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

On November 9, 1952, he married Helen Slivensky. They were happily married for 56 years. Albert lived and farmed in the Taylor area all of his life. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes with family and friends. Albert was a lifelong member at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Taylor, Texas..

Albert was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Helen Slivensky; a brother, Elmer (Laura); a sister, Elda Heselmeyer (Willie); and his nephews, David Heselmeyer (Patricia Jones) Richard Zimmer (Yvonne).

He leaves behind to cherish his memory several nephews and a niece; Yvonne Zimmer, Larry Zeplin (Patty), Kenneth Heselmeyer (Rose Lee) David Slivensky (Joan), Alan Slivensky (Deann), and John Slivensky (Cynthia).

Pallbearers will be Kelley Kaatz, Scott Heselmeyer, Ken Allen Seggern, David Slivensky, Alan Slivensky, and John Slivensky.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Providence Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Burial with military honors will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to his caregivers, Deniece Scruggs, Sheila Pausewang, and Joy Sumner, who provided outstanding care.
