Scott "Green Bay" Remmenga

January 6, 1965 — September 13, 2019

Scott Remmenga, 54, of Taylor, passed away on Friday, September 13th, 2019, due to an unfortunate motorcycle accident while on his way to work.

Scott was born on January 6th, 1965, in Ripon, Wisconsin to his late parents, Ralph and Mary Ann (Yasick) Remmenga. He graduated from Freedom High School in 1983 and then joined the Air Force. He did basic training in San Antonio and was stationed in Europe for three years. Once he finished his service, he returned to Texas and started working for American Freight-ways in Austin where he met his wife, Beatriz. They met in March 1991 and were married a year to the day they met. He and his family moved out to Taylor in 2000 and made a new life there.

Scott devoted his life to God, family, and the Green Bay Packers. Scott and Beatriz were both religious education teachers and an active part in their church community. When he married Beatriz, he took in her daughter, Amber, as his own. He said the moment his son, Antonio, was born, “Antonio, where have you been all my life?” The first few seconds after his second son, Andrew, was born, the doctors said Scott had a daughter, then realized they had made a mistake and said he had a second son. Scott cheered that he had two boys. From that moment on, his whole world revolved around his sons. Every time the Packers played, he would be on the phone with his brothers talking about the game.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph (2004) Mary Ann (2016).

Scott is survived by his wife of 27 years, Beatriz; daughter, Amber Marinez; and two sons, Antonio and Andrew Remmenga.
