Ruby Caroline Unnasch

Ruby Caroline Schwab Unnasch, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend (98) passed away December 31, 2023, in Taylor, TX.  Ruby was born October 17, 1925, to Herman and Selma Niemtschk Schwab in Milam County, TX.  Ruby was the seventh child born to Selma.  She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale on November 15, 1925 and confirmed on April 2, 1939.  On August 28, 1949, she was united in marriage to R E Unnasch Jr. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale.

Ruby and R E had two sons, Glenn Ray and Bobby Dale.  Ruby was a lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she enjoyed participating as a Sunday School Teacher and spent many years on the bereavement committee coordinating funeral luncheons.  Ruby was a dedicated homemaker to her family and supported Sixty through his career.  When he retired, Ruby served as the recordkeeper and ears of his business.

She is preceded in death by her husband R.E. “Sixty” Unnasch, Jr.; son Glenn Ray Unnasch, and great granddaughter, Catherine Ellen Unnasch.

Ruby is survived and deeply missed by her son, Bobby (Pam) Unnasch of Magnolia.  Daughter-In-Law Loretta Unnasch of Hutto; four Grandchildren, Aaron (Jennifer) Unnasch of Austin, Adam (Laura) Unnasch of Round Rock, Amanda (Luke) Bess of Round Rock; Kyle (Leslie) Unnasch of Seabrook; nine Great grandchildren, Caden Unnasch, Rylan Unnasch, Summer Bess, Boston Unnasch, Logen Bess, Caroline Unnasch, Dakota Unnasch, Samuel Unnasch; and Briar Unnasch, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 5, 2024 at 2:00pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale, TX.  Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00pm.  Burial to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Aaron Unnasch, Adam Unnasch, Kyle Unnasch, Caden Unnasch, Rylan Unnasch, Billy Jatzlau
