Roy Paul Gamez

With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Roy Gamez, who departed from this life on February 13, 2024, in Temple, Texas, at the age of 56. Roy was born on March 9, 1967, in Taylor, Texas, to his beloved parents, Paul and Connie Gamez. On December 23, 1994, he united in marriage with his devoted wife, Wanda Gamez.

Roy pursued his education at Temple College, where he graduated with an Associates of Applied Science in Drafting and Design Technology. He dedicated his career to companies such as Texas Instruments, Dell Inc., AMD, and Apple Inc., leaving a lasting mark with his talents and commitment throughout the drafting and design networks.

Roy found solace and happiness in life's simple pleasures. Whether he was spending quality time with loved ones, firing up the barbecue, casting a line into the water, or lounging on the sandy shores, he embraced each moment with joy and gratitude.

Roy was preceded in death by his beloved son, Cooper Winters, but his memory lives on in the hearts of his surviving family: his wife, Wanda Gamez; daughter, Heather Gamez; son, Aarron Winters; three grandchildren; his parents; sister, Yvonne Case and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday with Rosary Service beginning at 7:00 PM on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas. Funeral services to celebrate Roy's life will be conducted at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10:00AM on Monday, February 19, followed by burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.

Roy will be remembered for his kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
