Rosalinda “Rosie" Gamez
February 18, 1965-December 31, 2021
Rosie was a graduate of Taylor High School in Taylor, Texas, and received her Bachelor’s degree from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. She spent her career working for the state and was a retiree of the Texas Department of Transportation.
Rosie passed away after a long fight with cancer. She was a loving daughter, wonderful sister, amazing aunt, and good friend. Her vivacious spirt will be missed by many. Even though she was taken too soon, she lived an extraordinary life surrounded by people who adored her. She was a lifelong animal lover and always had a pet dog by her side.
Rosie is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Gamez. She is survived by her mother, Mary Gamez, brother Al Gamez (Belinda), Sisters Liz Morales (Ben-D), Irene Martinez (Henry-D), Cissy Stalmach (Bruce), Joann Gamez, and Carmen Morrill (Chuck); also, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews.
The Gamez family would like to thank the physicians, nurses, and medical staff at Texas Oncology for their tremendous care of Rosie through her fight with cancer.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make a donation to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) www.aspca.org OR The American Cancer Society www.donate3cancer.org
