Rodrigo (Ronnie) Perez was born April 12, 1960 in Austin, Texas to parents, Isaac Perez Sr and Rita DeLeon Perez. He lived all but the last 7 months of his life in Austin, Texas. In April of 2018 he was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer and moved to Taylor, Texas and lived with his brother and wife until he passed away November 30, 2018. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Perez Sr and Rita DeLeon Perez and cousin Johnny DeLeon.
He is survived by his brother, Isaac (Ike) Perez and wife Kay; Nieces, Shannon Green and husband Kevin, Shelli Lorton and husband Alan; Nephews; James Lemon and Justus Green; Step Nieces and Nephew; Jenny Harrison; Shawna Holcomb and Alistair Harrison Holcomb; Cousins: Johnny G. DeLeon, daughter Samantha M. DeLeon and son Samuel L. DeLeon;
Lisa M. DeLeon and son Francisco Toacano Jr, and Special Friend Heidi Hildebrand. Along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Ronnie (aka Taco) loved fishing with a cain pole, barbecuing for his friends and music, especially Jimi Hendrix. Ronnie always had a smile and never met a stranger. When Ronnie wanted to be strong and fight thru he would say I gotta "be a BIKER! He was a biker throughout the seven months he fought this battle.
Ronnie wanted to thank his Hospice team, especially Dawn and Mary Jane. He also wanted everyone who helped with many acts of love and kindness to know how much he appreciated them. Ronnie asked me to express that to all of you.
