Robert Mokry, 55, of Taylor, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. He was born on October 15, 1964, to Andrew and Mary Ann Mokry.
Robert graduated from Taylor High School as a member of the class of 1983. While in school, he played football, tennis, and track. His favorite teams were the Taylor Ducks and the Texas Aggies, though he converted to the Longhorns later in life as a proud Texas Dad.
After high school, he went on to graduate from Texas State Technical Institute. For 24 years, he was a dedicated worker at Applied Materials in Austin.
Robert was a devoted son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was married to the love of his life, Susie, for 24 years. They had two beautiful children, Natalie and Andrew. He enjoyed spending time with them more than anything. He loved going to the beach with Susie, fishing with Andrew, watching movies with Natalie, and curling up on the recliner with their dog, Bruno.
Robert was a big brother outnumbered with three younger sisters. He loved cold beer, country music and was very proud to be a life-long member of the Taylor community. He never missed an episode of The Young and the Restless with his wife and filled up our DVR with Hallmark movies, even when it wasn't Christmas. He was a man of few words, but he had the best one-liners.
Robert is survived by his wife, Susie Mokry, along with his children Natalie and Andrew; parents, Andrew and Mary Ann; sisters Lynn Mokry, Vanessa Mokry, and Andrea Wilbert (husband Rob); and numerous nieces and nephews.
