Robert Lee Goodlett

Robert Goodlett, 59 of Thorndale Texas, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Robert was born to Herbert and Mary Goodlett on September 28, 1965. Growing up he was often found outside playing basketball or football with the neighborhood kids. He started working as a construction worker as a young adult. As he grew older, Robert developed his love for music. He lived life on his own terms. Bold and unapologetically unconventional. Robert had a great love for music, dogs and sports. He had 3 dogs over time and named them all Sadie, with the last one passing away a few months ago. Robert is often remembered singing out loud and playing air drums.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Mary Goodlett and great niece, Abigail Huisman. While Robert never married, he was from a very large family. He is survived by his eight siblings: Tommy Goodlett, Gary Goodlett, Patti Couling, Wanda Fellows, Wendy Ford, James Goodlett, Debbie Dominguez and Scott Goodlett. He is also survived by 3 aunts, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Robert will be missed dearly; more than he will ever know.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Goodlett, Gary Goodlett, Patti Couling, James Goodlett, Scott Goodlett, Matthew Goodlett, Caleb Goodlett, and Jacob Goodlett.

Services will be performed by his nephew Chris “Doc” Holliday.
