Robert David Filla

Robert David Filla, 54, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Robert was born on December 4, 1965 to Daniel “Dan” Filla and Helen (Skrhak) Filla. He attended Taylor High School where he met his wife of 32 years Lisa Zeplin. After graduating Robert started working for Williamson County where he dedicated 30 years as a skilled mechanic. Robert enjoyed participating in mud races, hunting, metal fabrication, collecting guns and working on cars. He was happy to help anyone and was truly a jack of all trades. Robert lived life to the fullest and loved going to the casino with his wife and sharing a laugh with his kids.

He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Filla Jr.; grandparents Francis and Joe Skrhak and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Filla.

Robert is survived by his wife Lisa Filla; daughter Heather and son Robert Filla Jr.; parents Dan and Helen Filla; and brothers Albert, Danny Jo and Edward Filla.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Providence Funeral Home.
