Robert Castillo

Robert Castillo was born in Coupland, TX on December 9 ^th , 1936 to Tomas and Concepcion Castillo. Robert passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on April 30 ^th , 2019 at the age of 82.

In January of 1956, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy, serving a 4-year term. When he returned, he settled in Taylor and worked for Case International as a mechanic until he retired. He was a committed servant of Our Lady of Guadalupe by volunteering as a breakfast coordinator, usher, and a Knights of Columbus member. He was a very humble man and his faith in God was strong.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Anita, and son, John Castillo, brother, Roger Flores, sisters, Eva Villereal and Celia Correa..

He is survived by his daughters, Isabel Lopez, Julia Martinez, Cathy Galvan, Pauline and husband, Robert Lopez; son, Anthony Castillo and wife, Irma; sisters; Carmen Eliziondo, Ester Martinez, Ofelia Torres, 22 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Providence Funeral Home on Monday, May 6 ^th , 2019 from 5-7 pm with a Holy Rosary Service beginning at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 7 ^th , 2019 at 10 am, with burial to follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Sanchez Jr., Valentino Reyes III, Jason Sanchez, Richard Yanis Jr., Robert Lopez Jr., and Miguel Castillo.
