Rickey A. Brock

Rickey A. Brock, 75, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on April 4, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 21, 1947 in Bartlett, Texas to John G. Brock and Dora Francis Bell.  eHe graduated from Bartlett H.S., University of Texas at Austin with a BFA in Art, and Instituto Allende in Mexico with a MFA in Art. He taught design, drawing, and painting at San Antonio College and The San Antonio Art Institute. He had a successful career as a graphic designer, illustrator, and product designer. He focused his efforts on fresh coating, restorative and decorative painting and mural painting in historic homes and businesses.

He was survived by his sister Margie Brock Light and her husband, Randy Light of Sherman, Texas; sister-in laws, Marjorie Shelton and Gloria Shelton of Cameron, Texas, stepsons Cecil Childers and Chris Childers, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
