Richard Ruiz

Richard Ruiz, 75, of Taylor passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

Richard was born April 26, 1946, in Taylor to Mr. Gregorio C. Ruiz and Maria Solis Ruiz. He was a resident of Taylor all his life and in 1964, he married Ezelia Rodriguez.

Richard was employed by Taylor Bedding, retired from Carpenters, and was a member of the Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana of Taylor. He enjoyed attending Sunday school, filling the Christmas goodie bags for the church, watching western movies, WWE wrestling, and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parent and his sisters Josephine Reyna, Elizabeth Munoz, Lydia V. Martinez, Rebecca Garcia, and Guadalupe Hilliard.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Ezelia Ruiz, children Beatrice (Max Jr.) Villanueva, Sylvia (Steve) Kaser, Mary (Ben Jr.) Lefner, Irene (Jose Luis) Medrano, and Richard Jr. (Rebecca) Ruiz. Nine grandchildren Max Villanuava III, Mary E. Lefner, Michelle Rodriguez, Richard Ruiz III, Sierra Kaser, Sienna Kaser, Giovanni Ruiz, Dominic Ruiz, and Stevie Kaser. Siblings Alice Pena, Dolores Hernandez, Joe Angel Ruiz, all who are of Taylor, John Ruiz of Wichita Falls, and a close cousin, much like a brother, Mike Solis of Forth Worth, TX.
