Raymond Salazar Lopez, 65 of Taylor, Texas passed away November 1, 2018 in Round Rock, Texas. He was born March 13, 1953 in Thorndale, Texas to Meliton “Tony” and Balentina Lopez.
Raymond was a graduate of Taylor High School, he retired from Austin Bridge and Roads where he worked for 20 years. He loved to watch football, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Raymond enjoyed playing slot machines, singing karaoke, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a man who loved like Christ and served others wholeheartedly, he knew what it meant to humbly worship the Lord and was a man after the Lord’s own heart.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Meliton “Tony” and Balentina Lopez; brother Daniel Lopez; and sister Janie Lopez. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Janie Pachicano Lopez; daughters Margie Herrera and husband Raymond, and Lori Trujillo and husband Charles; son Raymond Lopez, Jr.; grandchildren Raymond Herrera, Jr., Raeanna Herrera, Charles Trujillo, Jr., and Tony Trujillo; and brothers Cecil Lopez, and Marcelino Lopez.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Monday, November 5, 2018, Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00am Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
