Randy Dale Jaecks

Randy Dale Jaecks was born on August 13, 1952 in Taylor, Texas to William “Sonny” and Olga (Kruse) Jaecks.  He died on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the age of 66 years old after a courageous battle with cancer.

Randy was a graduate of R.L. Paschal High School in Fort Worth.  Randy received his bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University.  Upon graduation, Randy began teaching at Polytechnic Senior High School in Fort Worth.  He was a beloved teacher and friend to many.  Randy would often run into former students who always had praise and adoration to Randy’s teaching and mentoring abilities.  Randy was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Worth.  Randy had strong Christian values throughout his life being baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Randy enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  Randy loved to play scratch off lottery tickets, watch Wheel of Fortune, and beat almost everyone on Words with Friends.  On most fall weekend’s you could find him cheering on his Horn Frogs on Saturday and the Dallas Cowboys on Sundays.  Randy’s sense of humor kept family and friends on their toes.  Randy was a kind soul that had a love for his precious Chihuahuas that passed before him, Cookie, Coco, and Sandy Lou.  After retirement, Randy became a caregiver to his mother, Aunt Gertrude and Aunt Louise.  He was a selfless man that put others first before himself.

Randy was proceeded in death by his parents, Sunny and Olga Jaecks; and multiple aunts, uncles and close friends.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside service to be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Taylor City Cemetery.
