Peter Rios

October 21, 1963 — April 25, 2021

Peter H. Rios was born on October 21, 1963 in Taylor, TX to Maria (Leal) and Jose B. Rios.  He was a lifetime resident of Hutto.  He grew up with 9 brothers and 2 sisters.  He was likeable, easygoing and made friends easily. While in high school, he played football and was manager for the varsity basketball team.  After graduating from high school, he worked numerous jobs but Intercraft Industries was his longest tenured job. He was a loyal Hutto Hippo football fan.  His favorite professional teams were the San Francisco 49ers and the Boston Celtics.  His favorite player of all time was Larry Bird.  Some of his hobbies were: gardening, fishing, collecting lawn equipment and gardening tools.  His family lovingly called him, the Junkman or the Fred Sanford of Hutto.  On Saturdays, he could be found at local garage sales and flea markets.  He was “foodie” who loved trying different cuisines.  His greatest joy was to attend and support the sports activities of his nephews.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Joe Jr. and Gregory Rios and one sister Inez Alba.

Peter is survived by brothers Jesse, Andrew Sr., Johnny (Isabel) and Benjamin Rios all of Hutto; Roy (Cindy), and Hector Rios from Round Rock; Manuel (Claudia) Rios of Leander and one sister Anna Rocha of Taylor; 10 nieces and nephews and the loves of his life his numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are his nephews: Jose Alba, Jonathan and Christopher Rocha, Jacob Rios, Eric Cortez, Fredy Castro and close friend Isador Munoz.  Honorary pallbearers are his nephew Andrew Rios Jr., close friends Rudy and Freddy Zavala.
