Peggy Lee Jackson-Hall, 73, of Manor, Texas, peacefully passed from this Earth on August 9, 2023, surrounded by her faithful and loving family.
Peggy Lee Jackson-Hall was born on November 11, 1949, in Taylor, Texas, to parents Otha Dewitty Jackson and Clara Lucy McFarlin-Wilson.
She was lovingly known as sister, Memaw, or Aunt Peggy to her family. She was known to help any family member who needed a place to stay, a place to eat, or a safe place for their children to go. She showed love through doing for others; never leaving a child to go without. She showed love by helping others who needed second chances. Her family always knew they could count on her in times of need. Her favorite time of year was Thanksgiving, where she would cook for days preparing a meal to feed the multitude of family and friends who would come by. She courageously battled cancer for two years and never wanted her children to be concerned. She continued her feisty attitude and laughter until her final days.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Marvin (Pee Wee) Jackson, Roy Lee Jackson, and Lester Jackson.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Troy Lee Smith; her four children, Barbara Ann Jackson of Austin, Texas; Kreshonya Brightwell of Round Rock, Texas; Rodney Hall (Laura) of Odessa, Texas; and Patrick Hall (Teneicka) of Manor, Texas. She also leaves behind 25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who absolutely adore their Memaw. She also leaves her siblings, Floyce Jackson, Judy Golston (Ardis), Larry Jackson, Harry Jackson, Mary Siler (Dennis), Billy Ray Jackson, Edyie Wilkins, and Angela Clark (Jerome), as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all of the doctors who cared for her, especially Amelia from Compassus Hospice who loved on Memaw and the entire family through this difficult time.
