Peggy Ann Buzan

September 11, 1930 — April 2, 2019

Peggy Buzan, 88, passed away April 2, 2019 with her loving children, Chuck Buzan, Greg Buzan and Scholley Buzan Bubenik by her side.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert George Buzan and her parents, Elmo Drumb and Lucille Drumb. Peggy is survived by her sister Scholley McGraw of Muskogee Oklahoma, her son Chuck Buzan and daughter-in-law Jennifer, son Greg Buzan and daughter in law Cindy Buzan, and daughter, Scholley Buzan Bubenik and son in law Rick Bubenik. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Scholley Webster and husband Nick, Gregory Buzan and wife Christina, Kristen Parrent and husband Liam, Taylor Buzan and wife Abigail, Stacy Fanous and husband, William, Tyler Buzan and Kaitlyn Buzan.  She is also blessed with three great grandchildren Collin and Jack Webster and Tate Buzan.

Peggy was born on September 11, 1930 to Elmo Drumb and Lucille Peace in Hartshorne Oklahoma.  Peggy attended and graduated Muskogee High School in 1949.  While visiting her Aunt in Taylor, Texas one summer she met Albert Buzan and they married August 7, 1950.

Peggy resided in Taylor Texas most of her life. She loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends.  Her summers were filled with grandchildren visiting, and family gathering in her backyard pool.  She loved the holidays when friends and family dropped in on Christmas Eve to celebrate the joyous season with her and Albert.

Peggy had many talents and applied these in her businesses in Taylor.  She owned a dress boutique, Daisy Manor and a small deli, Too Busy To Cook.  Peggy enjoyed sewing and creating holiday gifts which she sold at the area arts and crafts shows and gave to family and friends.  Peggy was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor for 65 years and later St. Mary’s Our Lady of the Lake in Lago Vista Texas.

Peggy had a special place in her heart for all of her friends and family but was truly blessed for the love and comfort she received these past several months from Madelene Buzan, Pat Autry, Barbara Miller, Trexa Hilderbrand, Candy Buzan, Lisa Buzan, Kathy Diesto, Heather Homan and caregiver Rene Coke.

Visitation will be held at the Providence Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7 th 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Monday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. in Taylor, Texas with the burial immediately following at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Pall Bearers will be Gregory Buzan, Taylor Buzan, Tyler Buzan, Liam Parrent, William Fanous, Nick Webster and Britt Autry.   Honorary pall bearers are Roy McGraw, Randy Buzan and Richard Hilderbrand, Trey Buzan and Jim Buzan.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylor Texas.
