Pearline Marie Williams

Pearline Marie Williams was born to Louis Montgomery and Aria Sanders Montgomery on November 7 ^th , 1937, in Belfalls, Texas.  She attended Elementary School in Troy, Texas.  When her family moved to Thrall, Texas, she attended Lincoln, an all-black school, through the 8 ^th grade.  Her High School years were spent at O.L. Price in Taylor, Texas.

She became a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at an early age, where she was Baptized in a creek on Stiles’ Farm.

Pearl married Floyd Williams and to this union, three children were born.

In her younger years she worked as a cook in Taylor, Texas, and surrounding areas.  She changed careers and spent many years working in the medical field until her health declined.

Her front yard was always full of music and laughter as family and friends loved to gather there.  Pearl also enjoyed going to garage sales on Saturday mornings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Montgomery and Aria Sanders Montgomery; Five brothers: Charles (Sunny) Montgomery, Sidney Montgomery, Louis (Bubba) Montgomery, J.W. (Blue) Montgomery, Howard (Dudiebotty) Montgomery; One sister, Beatrice Roberson; One great-granddaughter, Darian Williams-Autry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her seven children:  Roy Montgomery (Nikki), Jean Williams, Linda Gilbert (Johnnie), Mary Burks (Bobby-deceased), Dorothy Baker (Keith), Sharon Williams, Carol Taylor; Twenty-three grandchildren; Fifty-eight great-grandchildren; Two great great-grandchildren; Three sisters: Adelle Anderson, Sophie Rollie, Mary Miller; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation is to be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, October 28, 2022 at Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd N.W., Taylor.

Pearline's Homegoing Celebration is to begin at 11:00 am Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Providence Funeral Home with burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
