Pauline Selma Wolbrueck

Pauline Selma Hoeke Wolbrueck was born on November 2, 1931 to Paul William Hoeke and Martha Emma Teich Hoeke in Travis County, Texas.  Pauline was the youngest of 5 children. Pauline's name was in honor of her father, Paul, and grandmother, Selma.

Pauline was baptized at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, and was a member of the first Confirmation Class at St. John's Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, where her parents were Charter Members in the newly formed congregation.

She was educated at the Colorado School, near where the current Austin Airport is today and graduated from Austin High School in Austin, Texas.

Pauline married the love of her life, Hubert C Wolbrueck, Jr. on February 14, 1954, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Austin, Texas. They celebrated their 69th Anniversary this past February. Their family includes three children, Cheryl Rodenbeck & husband, Roger; Wanda Maas & husband, Matthew; and David Wolbrueck & wife, Laura; seven grandchildren: Charles Bernstein; Paul Bernstein & wife, Amanda; Michael Bernstein & wife, Megan; Shelly Maas; Rebecca Huchton & husband, Timothy; Sterling Maas & wife, Stacy; and Ryan Wolbrueck; and six great-grandchildren: Toler, Kenneth & Karen Bernstein; Jaxon Bernstein; Paityn & Ross Garcia; Parker & Timothy Huchton; and Kye Maas.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings: Margaret Roitsch & husband, Arnold, Edwin, Mildred & Agnes Hoeke.

Pauline & Hubert have been active members of st: John Lutheran in Bartlett, Texas since moving back to the Schwertner area approximately 30 years ago.
