Pauline Koehne Liles

July 21, 1928 — November 28, 2020

Pauline Koehne Liles died November 28, 2020 at the age of 92. She was born to August and Clara Koehne on July 21, 1928 in Palestine, Texas.

Pauline graduated from Palestine High School in 1945 and went on to study at Miss Nixon’s Business School.  After graduation she got her first job with Texas Power and Light in Palestine.

In 1948 she met “her Charlie” at the local skating rink. They married August 1, 1948 and they remained married until his death July 2017. Over the years she worked as a secretary for different Oil & Gas companies throughout Texas , Colorado and New Mexico as the family moved for Charlie’s work. Her greatest joy was being a stay- at -home mom and raising her two sons, Bud & David.

Pauline and Charlie loved to travel to see their children and granddaughter, plus a few side trips to casinos and sightseeing. Pauline and Charlie were members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Taylor, Texas where they have worshiped for years.

Pauline will be lovingly remembered by granddaughter Lindsay Liles of Portland, Oregon, niece Rebecca Kennon & husband Alan of Amarillo, Texas, nephew Martin Koehne of Amarillo, Texas, and many family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles M. Liles and their two sons Charles M. Liles Jr. (Bud) and David R. Liles. They are all now reunited in heaven.

Burial will be at Taylor City Cemetery with a memorial to be held later. Arrangements by Providence Funeral Home.
