Patricia “Trish” Mueller, 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 14, in Georgetown, Texas. Trish was born July 26, 1945, in Taylor, TX, to the late Bernice and Luther Johnson. She graduated from Taylor High School. Trish was married to Bobby Mueller, who preceded her in death. The couple were often seen working side by side at their restaurant, Louie Mueller Barbecue, dancing on Saturday nights, enjoying burgers at their favorite joints and at their children’s sporting events to name a few. Ever engaged with activities from Scouts and Brownies to school plays and events, Trish could be found orchestrating it all complete with paint and glue on her hands. A matriarch of a barbecue dynasty, she was a lifelong champion of her children’s passions and successes.
Trish is well known for her easy and distinct laugh and her homage to etiquette. She loved parties and took special pleasure in her warm and always exciting Christmas Eve celebrations. She looked forward to her annual trips with her friends and was never above a good prank or scare. Her refined culinary skills were matched only by her passion for decorating, which she turned into an event planning business.
A fighter, Trish is a breast cancer survivor and battled other medical conditions in her last years with a keen sense of humor and spirit.
She is survived by her son, John Mueller; daughter and daughter-in-law, LeAnn Mueller and Alison Clem; grandchildren Robert Mueller, Johnson Mueller and his wife, Marisol, and Andrew Mueller; and one great granddaughter, Amelia Rose Mueller.
A celebration of life will begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, at the SPJST Hall in Taylor, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations in Trish’s honor to Austin Pets Alive.
The family sends their sincere appreciation to the staff at Brookdale for the loving care provided to Trish in her last years.
