Norma Dean Eiklor

Norma Dean Dysart was born in Blythe, California on December 18, 1929, to Joseph and Bernice (Thomas) Dysart, and was the second oldest of eight children.

Having come to personal faith in Christ in her youth, she later served as a missionary in Brazil.  After returning to the United States, she met Frank Eiklor, still serving in the Marine Corps where his life was transformed by Jesus Christ.  They married in 1960 and became the proud parents of their daughter Dawn, grandparents of Kelsey Dawn, and great-grandparents of twins, Theo and Malakai.

Norma was an accomplished pianist and Frank’s partner at home and abroad in a worldwide ministry that spanned over 100 countries.  Her kind, gentle, selfless service to others made her beloved by all.  They moved to Georgetown, Texas in 2016 to be near their daughter in Taylor.

Norma celebrated her 95th birthday two days prior to her going to be with the Lord she adored on December 20, 2024.  Her husband of 64 precious years of marriage and daughter were at her side for her final, gentle breath.

Norma leaves behind a family that she loved and who cherished her.  She is survived by her husband, Frank; daughter Dawn Chabot (Dean); granddaughter Kelsey Lynaugh (Mark); and her great-grandsons, Theo and Malakai; siblings Beverly Mansfield, Frances Cook, Dorothy Scheevel (Bill), Carol Cousins, Dean Dysart (Diane) and dozens of nieces and nephews.

The Committal Service will be at the City of Taylor Cemetery, 1101 East 4th Street (Gate 4) at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025.
