Misty Mayer

Misty Mayer was born November 16, 1970 to Alvin and Carol Mayer and graduated from Taylor High School in May of 1989.  Shortly thereafter, she began a long career as a co-owner of Fajitas on Wheels in Taylor.  She worked tirelessly for many years while coming straight from dialysis some days to register and greet her loyal customer’s.  After her career as a business owner she retired and spent the following 2 ½ years enjoying her beautiful home, land, and close family.

Misty was the epitome of loyal and believed the best was in everyone.  She trusted with abandon and refused to give up on anyone or anything until she was completely convinced there was no hope.  Her work ethic was beyond belief and she would not stop until the task was done.  On her 50 ^th birthday she decided her work here on earth was done and she slipped into a peaceful sleep until the early hours of the following morning.

Through many difficult times she prevailed.  Many days she would question how a situation would turn out (concerned or worried) and literally, magically the best scenario would develop.  God was on her side and never failed her.

Her nephew Jake was her pride and joy.   Nothing brought her more enjoyment than his presence. His successes were hers and she could not love another person more than she loved Jake.  Anytime she could gather for a meal with her family she cherished it.  She especially enjoyed a nice drink with her brother in law in the barn, or dinner at her sister’s house.  Her mother was with her to the very end, a constant support that she relied on.

She will be deeply missed and has left an impact on everyone’s life that she touched.

She was preceded in death by her father Alvin Frank Mayer, Grandfather Frank Mayer, Grandparents Marguerite (Klima-Mayer) Vrazel and Joe Vrazel Jr of Buckholts, TX and E.E. Montgomery Jr and wife Ruth Amelia Montgomery (Knauth).

She is survived by her mother Carol Mayer, sister Kristy Mucha and husband Bo and the joy of her life, nephew Jake Mucha, all of Taylor.
