Max Naranjo, 85, of Thorndale passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.
Max Naranjo was born on December 24, 1937, in Donna, TX to Luis and Feliciana Naranjo. A lifelong farmer, he spent his days growing the food that fed his local community. He married the love of his life, Annie Galban on August 19, 1956.
Together they had seven children, Tony, Ricky, Betty, Max Jr., Sara, David, and Linda.
Max is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Annie, Four Sisters, Five Brothers and his stillborn children, David and Linda.
He is survived by his sons Tony and wife Alicia, Ricky and wife Mary, and Max Jr.; daughters Betty and husband Oscar, Sara and husband Harvey; sisters Flora, Carol and Amelia; brothers Raymond and Joe; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Max loved being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and a cold beer every now and then. He lit up every room he walked into and leaves behind a legacy of love and a family bond that will last for generations to come.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 21,2023, With the Rosary starting 6:00pm at Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery.
