Mary Ruiz Lefner

Mary Ruiz Lefner, 56, of Taylor, TX passed away at her home on July 22, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mary was born on June 5, 1968, in Taylor to Richard and Ezelia Ruiz.

Mary graduated Taylor High School in 1987.

Mary met the love of her life, Ben at Quickway Grocery. They married on March 9, 1991, at First Baptist Church in Taylor.

She found her true purpose in life as a caregiver for over 25 years. Over those years she made many lifelong friendships.

Mary was never one to sit still. She loved cooking, driving around Taylor and going to garage sales. She will be remembered for her bright red lipstick, sunglasses and vivacious smile. Those who knew Mary, knew she loved to talk so you could never be in a rush.

Mary is preceded in death by her father Richard Ruiz Sr.

She is survived by her mother Ezelia Ruiz of Taylor; husband Ben of Taylor; daughters Mary (Stephen) of Taylor, Michelle (Robert) of Jarrell and her pride and joy granddaughter, Elena, who was born on June 7th.
