Mary "Kathy" Langford

Mary (Kathy) Hunton Vaughn Langford, 76 of Taylor passed away on December 31, 2021.

Kathy was born on February 21, 1945 in Albuquerque, NM.  She graduated from Sandia High School and married her high school sweetheart William “Billy” Vaughn, and had two children, Deanne and Rowdy.

In 1983, Kathy moved to Artesia where she later met and married Virgil Langford and became stepmother to his three kids, Charlie, James and Michelle.

In 2000, after retiring, Kathy and Virgil moved to the Taylor area to be closer to their grandchildren, Tristan and Adriana Torres.  Kathy loved having her family around and cooking family meals together.  She enjoyed doing arts and crafts, volunteering to read to the children at the local schools, and traveling with her husband and family.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Virgil, her children Deanne Torres and Rowdy Vaughn (Patricia), her stepchildren, Charlie, James (Karen) and Michelle Langford.  Her grandchildren, Tristan and Adriana Torres, Ellen, Emily, Erin and Evelyn Langford.  Her sisters, Marie, Vera Lee, Carolyn and her brother Paul along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on the 17 ^th of June 2022 in Artesia, NM.
