Martena “Martha” Pachicano Flores, 77, peacefully passed away on February 27, 2025, surrounded by her family. She left this world with the same grace and humility that defined her life, entering the Kingdom of Heaven in peace, knowing she was embraced by the everlasting love of Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior.
Martha was born on January 12, 1948, in Taylor, Texas, to Jim and Juanita Pachicano. She was the third eldest of 13 children, growing up in a tight-knit family that laid the foundation for her warm and generous spirit.
On July 20, 1964, Martha married Adolfo “Tholo” Flores Jr. in Thorndale, and together they raised seven children. Her unwavering love and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her, especially her children, who were blessed with the constant, unconditional love of their mother.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Martha’s home was always open to those in need. Whether someone needed a kind word, a warm meal, or simply a place to turn, she welcomed them with open arms. Her home was a gathering place, filled with love, laughter, and memories, especially during family events and celebrations.
Martha now rests in eternal peace alongside her beloved husband and children: May Flores Carreon and John Flores, her great-grandson Noah Flores, her parents, and her siblings, Manuel Pachicano and Oscar Saucedo. She is also reunited with her sister Alice Tellez, and nephews Michael Pachicano, Paul Pachicano, and Robert Pachicano Jr., as well as nieces Nora Pachicano and Nicole Beran, and brother-in-law Raymond Lopez.
Her legacy of love will continue through her children Regina Mota, Adolph Flores III, Teresa (Jason) Russo, Joe Flores, and David Flores; her grandchildren Rosa Flores, Victoria Flores, Julia Alderete, Josephine Ortiz, Alyssa Winton, Ashley Nowak, Joe Garcia, Josiah Flores, and Amaya Flores; and her great-grandchildren Christine, Angelica, Jordan, Elijah, Bria, Bella, Amias, Iverson, Kace, Easton, Gavin, and Alayna. Martha is also survived by her siblings: Marcie Alderete, Pat (Lazãro) Pina, Janie Lopez, Jesse (Lucy) Pachicano, Ali (Richard) Martinez, Rachel (Raymond) Ortiz, Pastor Mary (Guillermo) Guerrero, Frank (Jean) Pachicano, Robert (Debbie) Pachicano, and Sandra (Joseph) Camarda. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends who were like family to her.
