Maria Cecilia Moreno

Maria Cecilia Moreno, 76, from Austin had entered eternal rest on Thursday, December 28th, 2023.

Maria Cecilia Moreno was born on March 16, 1947, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico to Genaro and Catalina Moreno. She had a childhood full of joy with Martha Diaz (Sister) and Juan Pantoja (Brother). She graduated from Crystal City High School in 1967. By the Year 1984, she met the love of her life Johnny Moreno at a dance hall in Rockdale. Maria then married Johnny on December 14, 1984. Maria had two children: Ricardo and Bernardette (Becerra) Moreno. Maria worked as the Supervisor for Housekeeping for Dell's Children's Hospital in Austin then retired in 2013 to care for her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Maria always had a big heart. She loved to dance and spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Maria and her husband Johnny took in their grandchildren: Marissa Moreno, Maribelle Moreno, Marianna Moreno, Alaina Moreno, and Alonzo Arispe. Along with her great-grandchildren: Mason Tuileepa, Julian Tuileepa, Liliana Salazar and raised them together in a loving home.

Visitation will be held from 9:00am - 10:00am on Wednesday January 03, 2024, at Providence Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am. Followed by the Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery (Cementerio San Jose) in Rockdale.
