Maria De La Rosa

Maria Gloria De La Rosa departed this life on September 18, 2021. She was born March 18, 1958, in San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, to parents Jose Luis Lopez and Anastacia Sanchez.

Maria was a loving person, and her greatest joy was to care for her family. She loved to knit, sew, and garden. She also enjoyed going to HEB, and cooking meals for her loved ones.

She is preceded in death by both parents.

Maria leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Jose A De La Rosa. Also surviving her is her daughter, Laura Viridiana De La Rosa and son-in-law Sean Garcia.

Other relatives include brothers; Jose Luis Lopez, Jr, Gabriel Lopez, Toribio Lopez, Pablo Antonio Lopez, Adrian Lopez, and Juan Jose Lopez; and sisters, Blanca Estela Lopez, Maria del Carmen Lopez, and Rebecca Lopez; as well as 31 nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Oscar Lopez, Eduardo Alcantara Jr., Gabriel Lopez, Jr., Luis Alfonso Lopez, Alfredo Lopez, Jose Manuel Lopez, Pablo Antonio Lopez, Jr., and Edgar Carrera.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas, with recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. Maria will be laid to rest following the service at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Taylor, Texas.
