Margarita Ochoa

June 21, 1953 — October 31, 2017

Margarita Mata Ochoa, 64, of Taylor, Texas, passed away on October 31, 2017 in Taylor.

Margarita was born in San Antonio, Texas to Susie Zepeda and Paul Mata on June 21, 1953.  She loved to be with her family. She loved to go on outings, shopping, loved the cooking channel, to cook, dance and listen to music, to go to yard sales and going to bingo.  She also loved to travel and stay in hotels.  She loved to give hugs and kisses, she loved her grandkids especially her baby grandkids.  She loved to yell and also spoke the truth.

Margarita is preceded in death by her mother Susie Garcia, sisters, Elida Mata, Simona Villagomez, Virginia Mata, Bertha Mata, and Linda Mcgrew.

She is survived by her dad Paul Mata, sisters, Elizabeth Frias, Nelda Garcia, brothers Paul Mata, Jr. and Gilbert Garcia, daughters, Susie and Pedro Rodriguez, Marcelina Palacios, and Alma Palacios.  Grandkids, Lee and Laura Arredondo, Marcos Arredondo, Paulo Arredondo, Victor and Aubrey Arredondo, Jesseray Rodriguez, Manny Rodriguez, Tavo and Kyela Martinez-Gonzalez, Jose Martinez-Gonzalez, Cornelio Mata, Roque Mendoza-Rojos, and Daniel Palacios.  Great grandkids, Lupita, Thalia, Yazmin, Moyi, Adamaris, Vincent, Paulito, Allison, Damian, Paulina, Daniel, Arianna, Nayelli, Isacc, and Isaiah.  Also left to cherish her memories are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers are Pedro Rodriguez, Lee Arredondo, Marcos Arredondo, Victor Arredondo, Jesseray Rodriguez, Edgar Martinez-Gonzalez, Jose Martinez-Gonzalez, and Daniel Palacios.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 with rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor.  A Mass of Christian Celebration will be on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor.  Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery in Taylor.
