It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Madge Fay “Missy” Buchanan, who passed away on December 16th, 2024, in her home in Hutto, Texas, at the age of 62. She was born September 5, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas.
Missy was a loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend, always willing to lend a helping hand and a listening ear. Her warm personality, infectious smile, genuine laugh, and generous heart made her an instant favorite among all who knew her. She had a passion for pets and supporting the Texas Longhorns, musicians Alabama and NASCAR, Tony Stewart was her favorite driver, which she shared with her family and friends.
Despite facing many challenges in her life, Missy remained resilient and persevered through it all. She was a fighter till the end, and her unwavering faith was an inspiration to us all.
Missy is preceded in death by parents Holden and Margaret Griffin.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, James Buchanan, step-son Jeramy Buchanan, her siblings Robbie Martinez (Marty), Laurie Respondek, her nephews Ryan Mazac (Allyson), Dylan Stephens (Alexis), Collin Respondek, Austin Respondek and great nieces and nephews Sean and Amara Stephens, Roy and Adalida Mazac.
Her life will be celebrated in a day of honor and remembrance on December 27th, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas.
We will miss her dearly but take comfort in the fact that she is now in a better place, free from pain and suffering. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
