Lonnie Lee Deary "Terry"

Lonnie Lee Deary (Terry) of Austin, Texas was born to Lonnie Lee Terry and Betty Deary on June 7th, 1970 in Taylor, Texas.  Lonnie inherited his adopted parents, Lawrence Brown and Maezola Brown at an early age of 8 years old.  Lonnie departed his earthly life on Thursday, April 11th, 2019, with his family and friends at his bedside.

Lonnie was baptized at Park Springs Baptist Church in Manor, Texas at a young tender age.  He attended Taylor public schools. Lonnie joined the Unites States Army, where he was active for 23 years.  He completed tours in Korea, Japan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Italy, and Africa.  After his retirement, he began to drive trucks and held various other jobs in between.  Lonnie’s favorite pastimes were cooking, driving fast cars, and enjoying his time with his many family members.  Lonnie had a heart of gold and would give his shirt off his back to anyone that was in need.

He leaves to cherish his memories his sisters, Sonya Terry, Tonya Terry, Tammy Terry of Austin, Angela Carr (Ruben) of Desert Hot Springs, CA, Janet Hattley Davis-Moore (Darrell) of Taylor, Rayetta Hatch of Killeen; brothers, Jo Lee Deary, Jeffery Hattley of Killeen, Darrell Hatch, Otis Hatch, Carl Hattley of Taylor; former wife, Marissa T. Deary; grandmother, Veola Palmer; numerous aunts and uncles and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18 ^th , 2019 from 9:00am – 2:00pm, with funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Taylor City Cemetery.

Casket Bearers are Shaun Meeks, Joel Meeks, Brandon Davis, Jerrod Terry, Dennis Davis and Aaron Wilson.  Honorary Casket Bearers are Joelie Deary, Melvin Wilson, Quincy Randall and Carlos Terry.
