Linda Faye (Kruse) Limmer was born on August 20, 1945 in Taylor, Texas to Vernon and Viola (Balusek) Kruse. She died on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the age of 73 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Linda was a graduate of Thrall High School and attended Nixon-Clay Business School in Austin. Linda was married to her high school sweetheart, Wayne Limmer, on June 5, 1965 and they had two daughters, Melissa Randig and Tammy Talley. Linda was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylor. Linda spent years teaching Sunday school, preparing Holy Communion bread, serving on several committees and was a member of WinGs (Women in God’s Service). Linda had strong Christian values throughout her life being baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Linda worked in the agriculture industry throughout her career as a bookkeeper primarily at Waterloo Gin.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. She loved to spoil each one of them by cooking their favorite item. This ranged from baking chocolate chip cookies and cakes to homemade grilled cheese sandwiches. She also had a talent for decorating cakes for birthdays and special occasions. No one ever left her home hungry. After retirement, you would often find Linda and her husband drinking coffee and socializing with friends at local businesses. Linda also enjoyed shopping with her daughters and hunting on their property in Milam County. She was a hardworking and loyal friend, wife, mother and nana.
She was proceeded in death by her parents; sister, Verna Lou Anderson. She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne Limmer of Taylor; daughter, Melissa Randig and husband Ron of Taylor; daughter, Tammy Talley and husband Jason of Cameron; grandchildren, Macey and Mallory Randig, Lori, Madison and Cade Talley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Justin Anderson, Vernon Anderson, Matthew Balusek, Ron Randig, Cade Talley and Jason Talley. Honorary pallbearer Randy Jaecks. Family and friends are invited to Providence Funeral Home, 807 Carlos Parker Blvd, Taylor, TX for visitation on Thursday, September 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. and funeral services on Friday, September 7 beginning at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Prince of Peace Lutheran cemetery in Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Taylor.
