Linda Clay

October 4, 1943 — January 23, 2019

Ms. Linda Clay of Round Rock, Texas, died January 23, 2019 from complications of pneumonia and Parkinson’s. She was born October 4, 1943 in Jackson, Mississippi and was a retired administrative assistant from Letsos Company in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse Beacham and Geneva Cowart May and brother James Beacham May.

Survivors include her friend Bill Latimer, daughters Deborah Alker of Cypress, Texas and Denise Johnson of Taylor, Texas, son in-laws Brad Alker and Lance Johnson, grandchildren Kayla Alker, Kara Alker, Will Alker, Hannah Johnson, and Cailyn Johnson, sister Marilyn Bailey of Brandon, Mississippi, and brother Ronnie May of Brandon, Mississippi, and granddogs Preston Alker and Daisy Johnson.  Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.

Linda loved to have family gatherings at her house so she could cook and entertain. She had a special gift when it came to cooking and baking. She loved to make specialty cakes for her friends and co-workers.

A special thank you to Olivia Althoff and Victoria Gonzales-Vasquez of Round Rock, Texas for the love and care they gave Linda during her illness. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Poet’s Walk in Round Rock who cared for Linda the last few months of her life. The family would also like to thank Guiding Hospice for making the last two weeks easier to accept.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in memory of Linda.

A celebration of Linda’s life will be February 2nd at 1:00 at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas.
