Lee Jacob Gaydos, Jr.

Lee Jacob Gaydos, Jr. 80, was born December 4, 1942 and was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, September 23, 2023 with his wife Yvonne and brother Gary by his side.

Lee is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Yvonne (Anderson) Gaydos, brother Gary and his wife, Marilyn of Granger, TX and sister-in-law Marjorie Dawson of Willis, TX.  He is also survived by his niece Kate and husband Charles Brown of Circleville, nephews Jacob Gaydos and wife Kelly of Hutto, Jason Gaydos and fiancé Cydney Trevino of Circleville and great nieces Lainee Ann and Madisen Lee Gaydos of Hutto and Avery Harper (Trevino) Stockton of Circleville.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents Lee J Gaydos and Lucille (Lefner) Gaydos.

Lee was born in Taylor, TX and baptized in the Catholic Faith. He graduated from Taylor High School.  He served as Staff Sergeant in the United States Army and later in the Army Reserves. He worked at Taylor Motor Company, Henna Chevrolet and then opened his own business in 1969 known as Lee’s Body Shop in Round Rock, TX.  He then added Gator Worm Company where he sold plastic worms.

Lee married Yvonne Anderson in 1973 and he joined Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Wuthrich Hill.  Lee and Yvonne shared a love for animals, especially their cat “Baby”.

Lee loved all sports, especially football and baseball.  He enjoyed fishing in his spare time and was a member of several bass clubs including the Texas Association of Bass Clubs where he served as Regional Director and also Vice President. Lee also had a love for classic cars, truck pulling  and drag racing. He loved spending time with family and friends and was best known as “Gator”.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at San Gabriel Rehab and Care Center in Round Rock for the good care they gave to Lee.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, The Parkinson Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
