LaVerne Ruth Townsend Frase

LaVerne Ruth Townsend Frase, age 91, of Thrall, Texas, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025. She was born to James and Dorthea Townsend, and was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Cecil Frase, her brother Harvey Townsend, her daughter-in-law Linda (McLaughlin) Frase, and her grandson Nathan Rowland.

LaVerne and Cecil were married on August 12, 1954, and together they raised four children: Gaylon Frase of Gilmer, Vickie (Frase) Rowland (Paul) of Thrall, Sherri Hammack (Roy) of Indiana, and Ronald Frase (Sheilia) of Thrall. Her legacy lives on in her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate LaVerne's life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Thrall, Texas. Pastor Jeffrey Geske will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 409 Main St., Thrall, Texas 76578.

LaVerne's loving spirit and devotion to her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
