On Friday, June 3, 2022, LaVerne Ruth (Heine) Eulenfeld went to be with the Lord at the age of 90.
Born to Clement Charles and Theresia Bachmayer Heine on January 6, 1932, LaVerne was an active and beloved member of the Taylor community her entire life. Several years after graduating from Taylor High School, she married William (Bill) Corbett with whom she had three children: Dean, Lisa, and Patty. After his sudden passing, she raised them as a single mother while working in various roles at Taylor ISD.
On July 12, 1974, she married Bobby Eulenfeld and gained two step-daughters: Valerie and Vanessa. Together Bobby and LaVerne enjoyed hosting joy-filled holidays with their children, being active members of SPJST Lodge 29, and spending time with family and friends. She loved attending grandkids’ activities and cheering on their sporting events.
Throughout her life, St. Mary’s Catholic Church was a foundational piece of LaVerne’s upbringing, adulthood, and faith where she was baptized, confirmed, and a lifetime member. She was also a member of the Altar Society and Catholic Daughters.
In addition to her faith-filled life, LaVerne was well-known for her delicious cooking, skilled canning, and expert gardening. Her green thumb cultivated not only vegetables but beautiful flowers and plants. Her family treasures the memories made around the kitchen table and the recipes she left behind. She will also be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
LaVerne is preceded in death by her first husband William (Bill) Corbett, mother Theresia Bachmayer Heine, father Clement Heine, infant son William Corbett, Jr., infant brother Clement Heine, Jr., nephew Lonny Rinderknecht, sister Doris Rinderknecht, and brother-in-law Lincoln Rinderknecht.
