Larry Lee Tait

Larry Lee Tait, 69, of Taylor, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.  He was born January 14, 1952 in Victoria TX to the late Lester Sr. and Elizabeth Tait.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway, Victoria, Texas.

Larry graduated from Stroman High School in 1971 and then pursued a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas.  He worked hard to build his business and found joy in traveling the world, making many beloved friends along the way. He later opened Tait-Pitkin Sports Engineers, and also consulted for Hellas Construction.

Larry married the love of his life, Florence Tait, in 1994.  He became the Father to Stephen Konze (Lynn), Milford Baker (Rachel), and Angela Gajdusek (Joseph).  Larry was the proud Grandpa to 17 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  He had a special zest for life and loved to share his knowledge with anyone who would listen.  He loved woodworking, football, and spending time with his family. Larry had a smile that would light up a room, and was always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand to anyone in need.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Sr. and Elizabeth, brother Lester Tait Jr., and grandson John Micheal Baker. He is also survived by his sister Charlotte Richter (Lawrence) and nephews Nathan Tait and Army Colonel Curtis Tait.
