Kojin Paul Ohno, age 32, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in Austin, TX.
He was born on January 15, 1987 in Kodiak, Alaska to Kenji and Madeline Ohno. He graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, WA and attended culinary school in Seattle shortly afterwards. He loved cooking and was an excellent chef both in Seattle and Austin. He had a passion for cooking, fishing while growing up in Alaska, and loved his dog, Zucchini, very much.
He is predeceased by his father, Kenji Ohno.
Kojin is survived by his mother, Madeline Ochoa Ohno, of Taylor, TX; his older brother and wife, Takashi and SunMee Ohno (Honolulu, HI); his younger sister and husband, Lisa and Dorian Shimotani (Richmond, VA); and two nieces, Elena and Ada Shimotani.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery.
